How to sew a pocket square


Step 1
Cut a 13" x 13" square out of desired fabric

Step 2
Thread the needle, start sewing from the right to the left of the pocket square

Step 3
Roll tips of the pocket square with left hand while sewing with right hand

Step 4
Progress in dots and dashes, dots are visible and dashes are
hidden within the folds, make sure that dots are as tiny as possible

Step 5
When turning around corners, be sure to knot corners
at least twice before moving on to next edge

How to Fold a pocket square

Step 1 With the top corners horizontal to one another, lay the pocket square out flat

Step 2 Fold the left side so that it sits on top of the right side

Step 3 Fold the lower two corners so that they are just short of reaching the top two corners. If the pocket suare is large, repeat steps 2 and 3

Step 4 Flip over and position in the pocket, tightening the folds to reduce the size if necessary

Step 1 With one corner facing up and the opposite corner facing down, lay the pocket square out like a diamond

Step 2 Fold so that the lower corner sits just to the left of the top corner

Step 3 Fold the left side inward towards the center, followed up the right side

Step 4 Flip over and position in the pocket

Step 2 Pinch the pocket square at the center and lift it, tucking the two opposing sides inwards as you do

Step 3 Holding the top with one hand, use your other hand to gather the material together

Step 4 Flip over and position in the pocket
